Do some homework On our YouTube channel, you can find a lot of information that will prepare you for your first BJJ class. In one of the videos, we teach you a few important warm-up movements. And in another video, we answer the question: What is BJJ?

Wear the right outfit If it’s a BJJ class, make sure to wear a gi, also known as a judo uniform. Don’t forget to tie a white belt around it!
If you don’t have a gi, it’s more convenient to attend a no-gi class. A pair of shorts without pockets and zippers, along with a tight-fitting t-shirt, will be sufficient.

Let the coach know it’s your first class Upon arrival, make it clear that you’re attending a trial class. Most schools will already be aware, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. This way, they can take your lack of experience into account.
