Polaris Contenders Results

This weekend, Sarah and Daniel were in London for Polaris Contenders. Sarah competed in the purple belt women's division, and Daniel participated in the -66kg contenders bracket. The winner earns a spot on the main card of Polaris, the largest professional grappling organization in Europe.

Daniel started the day with a win by points. He won the second match with a kneebar. In the semifinals, he lost on points, after which he won the bronze final with a submission: the guillotine.

Sarah had three matches against the same opponent. In the first round, she lost with a kimura, but she showed great mental resilience: she came back with a win by triangle-armbar, and in the decisive third match, she won with a rear naked choke. Gold for our women's coach!
