When to progress from Fundamentals
A theme that often came up in the survey was the fundamentals lessons. According to some, these should be longer and/or contain more sparring.
Although this is good feedback, it mainly indicates to us that we have not yet made it completely clear when it is useful to progress from the fundamentals lesson. This lesson is precisely that, a lesson where you lay a foundation to then build further upon.
When are you ready to progress from the fundamentals?
- You train consistently for 6 months or longer
- You are looking for more challenge
- You find the fundamentals lessons too short
- You want more sparring
- You want to participate in competitions
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, we recommend that you attend a regular BJJ or Grappling class. These are available daily at 7:00, 12:00, 19:00, and on Tuesday and Thursday at 20:00.
If those classes are still too advanced, you can always return to fundamentals or combine them with the regular classes. For example, 1x per week fundamentals, and 2x a regular class.
