New black belt

Last week, Harry João was promoted to black belt at Haven BJJ.

Harry has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for many years and is now a familiar face within our gym. After moving to Rotterdam — or actually Schiedam — he joined Haven BJJ. Not long after, he also started teaching and built a strong 7:00 AM morning group together with Bryan.

Harry is a good example of what it means to stay consistent in training. Besides a busy job, helping friends, and other passions like stand-up comedy, he always makes time to be on the mat and improve.

That dedication is reflected in his development. Last year, he won silver at the European Championship, and we are convinced that many more great results will follow.

Congratulations Harry. More than deserved.
