Joran Mul got into BJJ thanks to his father, who more or less forced him to try it once. After that first time, he started to enjoy it and continued training. He has since grown into one of the biggest grappling talents in the Netherlands, with an impressive list of international titles.
As a coach, Joran specifically looks at each student and how they apply the technique. He tries to help everyone improve based on their own style and understanding. His students say that his lessons are good and clear because he answers questions and explains everything in detail.
At Haven BJJ, Joran teaches the grappling classes on Tuesday and Thursday, the Kids Competition class on Saturday, and the Kids No-Gi classes. Outside the mat, Joran is a true sports enthusiast — when he’s not training, he enjoys playing volleyball, soccer, and basketball.
