Daniel de Groot is the founder of Haven BJJ Rotterdam. As a 1st degree black belt under Thiago Abreu and Gabriel Rollo, he has developed into one of the most successful BJJ athletes and coaches that the Netherlands has ever produced.
He made history as the first Dutch person to win the Brazilian championships — an achievement that earned him international recognition. Additionally, he is a European champion and won a medal at the prestigious ADCC Trials, one of the toughest grappling tournaments in the world.
As a coach, Daniel combines his competition experience at the highest level with the ability to make complex techniques accessible to students of all levels. Whether you are just starting with BJJ or preparing for your first tournament — Daniel tailors his lessons to your goals and level.
Under his guidance, hundreds of beginners have started their jiu-jitsu journey, and several athletes have achieved international success under his coaching.
