Our team roots lie in Santos, Brazil. Both Santos and Rotterdam are important port cities that value hard work. With Haven BJJ, we honor those roots and emphasize the importance of hard work.<\/p>\n Secondly, \u201cHaven\u201d refers to a safe place. We want to provide a space where everyone can learn jiu-jitsu in a safe environment, regardless of their current condition or experience.<\/p>\n How do we do that?<\/strong><\/p>\n We have 3 core values that guide everything we do in the gym:<\/p>\n Hard work > We do not believe in shortcuts. We expect everyone to work hard: the coaches, the front desk staff, the professional athletes, and the regular members. Our training sessions are designed to be physically and mentally challenging without being overwhelming.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Continuous improvement > We always strive for improvement. That means we try out new training methods, listen to feedback from members, and are not afraid to make mistakes. We want our members to have the same mindset.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Teamwork > Although jiu-jitsu is an individual sport, you train with the team. We aim to make everyone in the room better. But what exactly do we offer?<\/p>\n Classes all day long: We want everyone to be able to train BJJ. Whether you have a busy job, kids at home, or work in the evening and night, our classes start at 7 AM and go until 9 PM.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Classes for all levels: Jiu jitsu is a great sport, but we noticed a trend: most gyms focus on one group. Either they focus on beginners and bore the advanced, or they focus on advanced and scare off beginners. We want you to enjoy jiu jitsu, whether you train for 10 minutes or 10 years. That\u2019s why we offer classes for different levels. Clean<\/b>: We clean our mats several times a day and expect everyone training with us to show up smelling fresh in a clean gi or rashguard.
